Low Water Surcharge Announcement for June 17, 2026

Based on the current Rhine water level forecast, a water level of 2.67 m is expected at the Duisburg-Ruhrort gauge on Wednesday, June 17, 2026. As a result, Scale 1 (2.70 m to 2.51 m) of our Low Water Surcharge (LWS) schedule becomes applicable.

The calculation is based on current gauge readings and official water level forecasts. Low water levels on the Rhine may affect inland vessel loading capacities and have an impact on transport planning.

We continuously monitor water level developments and Rhine shipping conditions and will keep our customers informed of further changes, forecasts, and potential impacts on ongoing transports.
